Getting ready for some serious bing watching but don’t know how to start. Hopefully, this list helps you out. It will having bounce around a bit between the different characters, but is in chronological order with how they were released. I think its the best way to capture the mood, subplots and character development. Let’s get right to it…
1. Daredevil Season 1
The one that started it all. The lead character, Matt Murdock who’s a blind lawyer by day and vigilante by night.
Murdock was blinded by a toxic accident that gave him superhuman senses, fights crime in Hell’s Kitchen in New York. He uses his skills against the Russian Mafia, Japanese Yakuza and Chinese Triads.
2. Jessica Jones Season 1
Next series to watch is Jessica Jones, who is a superhero that suffers from PTSD.
Jessica starts her own detective agency to help people. As she is starting to rebuild her life, her past catches up with her to wreck havok.
3. Daredevil Season 2
Murdock continues his dual life as lawyer and Daredevil. Punisher and Elektra also introduced in this season.
4. Luke Cage Season 1
Luke Cage is the super strong superhero with bulletproof skin in Harlem. As by now you know, he has some history with Jessica Jones, he really wants a quiet life and to be left alone.
This is Marvel, of course, so he’s forced to take on Harlem kingpins and his past in his quest for justice.
5. Iron Fist Season 1
Danny Rand, a billionaire, who was thought to have died with his parents when he was 10.
Rand was rescued and raised by monks who taught him marital arts. By harnessing his Qi, he has extraordinary powers, which he uses to fight, The Hand. An international evil conglomerate.
6. Defenders
All 4 of the Marvel superheroes unite in an Avenger’s style series. They have come together to take on the international group, The Hand (as continued from Iron Fist).
7. The Punisher Season 1
Frank Castle is no strange in the Marvel comic world. Castle, who made his introduction in Daredevil Season 2, is unleased to take revenge for the death of his wife and daughter. Definitely the most violent series.
8. Jessica Jones Season 2
This second season picks up following he role in The Defenders as she takes on a new case.
9. Luke Cage Season 2
This is the latest series (as of this article) where Cage deals with some old beefs and new players while balancing his fame as hero of Harlem.
Hopefully, this helps make it easier to follow. They are all great and very binge-worthy. You’re in for a real treat, just don’t make any plans for a while ; )
